Rujuta Diwekar s The PCOD Thyroid Book has a cover which says it all Compiled from Women and the Weight Loss Tamasha , Four Strategies to Counter PCOD and Hypothyroid and Including FAQs with Detailed Answers In the course of this book, nutritionist and fitness expert Diwekar examines PCOD and hypothyroidism and their causes and symptoms, and suggests lifestyle changes to help get over these The good if you are completely clueless about the topic, and do not have the support of a competent endocr [...]

I think this is of a reference book rather than something to read from start to finish At first I found the author s tone rather brash, but as I browsed through her helpful guidance I realised that she s just a no nonsense sort of person who reassuringly believes in healthy, enjoyable eating and rejects forced dieting.

Must read for every womanI usually do not get glued to non fiction writing regardless of how life changing it is This book is very engaging, very inspiring and makes choices of lifestyle and health so obvious and simple Going to gift to all my pink friends Every woman whether or not she has pcos, thyroid etc must read this book.

This was my second book from this author No doubt the book is very informative but somehow it seems repetitive Its like if you have read one book from her, there isn t any need to read another because at the deep roots she would be saying the same things throughtout A must read if you are suffering from either of the diseases or just want to lose weight the good way.

read this book for my wife who faces this problem, very well felt this as a good reference to the problem, since there is no resolution for PCOD, she surely mentions the ways to control even though following then word to word re not easy, still a lot can be incorporated This book is not only for women but also to men as the main focus of the book is to bring discipline in life which can keep diseases at bay.

A very inspiring read It talks about habits that can change your permanent health than preaching about a set diet that will temporarily change your weight It helps you see food as a form of energy rather than a food group Personally for me, this book taught me to eat food guilt free and enjoy every morsel which had not happened in years Also, in its own way, it encourages you to respect your elders, your culture and specially your mom Everyone needs to read this to teach yourself basics of food [...]

I have been following Rujuta s work through her columns I would say that this book would have done a lot better had it not been written in a casual way of using language This is a good piece of information for those who would like to know about food, nutrition, exercise and hormones The Hindi English mix has always been a big turn off for me While, this is acceptable for blogs these days, however, I would not encourage it for a book For instance, how would you feel reading 2 3 pages in English [...]

A good to understand for any lay man language, I do not categorise this as a literary work, as it was written completely with intention of passing out the knowledge to people on awareness, for any problem we just go to a doctor and believe popping a pill would solve everything This book can put some lights on real problem with PCOD S and help to make little changes in life which sometimes might be all you need to solve the problem.
