If you drop just one soda can out the window, it s no big deal right But what if everybody did that What if everybody broke the rules and spoke during story time, didn t wash up, or splashed too much at the pool Then the world would be a mess But what if everybody obeyed the rules so that the world would become a better place Using humorous illustrations rendeIf you drop just one soda can out the window, it s no big deal right But what if everybody did that What if everybody broke the rules and spoke during story time, didn t wash up, or splashed too much at the pool Then the world would be a mess But what if everybody obeyed the rules so that the world would become a better place Using humorous illustrations rendered in mixed media, these questions are answered in a child friendly way and show the consequences of thoughtless behavior.

Little Kid Reaction My children related somewhat to this story, though not very well I think they were a bit confused by what the illustrations were trying to show They did get the point of some of the examples.Big Kid Reaction I did not like this book partially because in each instance the boy was doing something he shouldn t the adult telling him to stop was scowling Some of the things he was doing weren t that bad, such as rushing onto the field after a football game to get an autograph or sp [...]

This book is a tool to get children talking or thinking about their choices behavior and how that impacts others For example, the boy races a cart at the grocery store to see how fast it can go and the store manager stops him and says, What if everybody did that The next page is followed by a illustration of how a grocery store if everybody young and old were to run around racing their carts in the grocery store The book offers many examples of how poor choices could lead to undesirable situati [...]

A little boy is questioned constantly about his actions with the phrase What if everybody did that This would be a great beginning of the year or middle of the year book to review rules Have listeners chime in in saying the phrase what if everybody did that Make a class book or brainstorm what would happen if everybody broke our library rules, and then on the opposite page if everybody followed them e.g using shelf marker.

I think the author of this book has been to my storytime, because in the image of what would happen if everyone talked in storytime I could see myself I wish the author had cut out half of the examples and used something else to move the story forward I also thought that several of the what if everyone did this examples looked like a lot of fun like blowing straws and throwing snowballs, but the tone of the book made it seem not fun.

Good message, but some were unnecessaryI read this on Kindle Unlimited to see if I should buy it for my child, and whilst I appreciate the messages behind not littering, not standing on the bus, picking up your things etc, there were some things that I do not view as misbehavior Namely, throwing a snowball and splashing in the pool Snowball fights and water fights were special memories in my childhood, and I don t see why a child should get in trouble for either in the situations given It would [...]

This book is an excellent read It is full of silly what ifs and illustrations It allows the reader to imagine and see the possible outcomes of many what if questions It was an easy read and kept the reader s attention throughout the whole story It attempts to answer the age old question of what if As a future teacher, this would be a great book to share in my future classroom It will show my future students the consequences of bad actions or actions in general Every action has some sort of conse [...]

I can t believe this book has an over 4 rating I thought it was so mean Either a parent was really mad at their kid or another adult was mad at their kid or a LIBRARIAN was mad at a kid There are different ways to handle things than being angry at a child that doesn t know better yet If they haven t been told not to do that, then just teach them that first without anger Also, there is only one positive example in the book of things that would be good if everyone did that Why couldn t they put in [...]

Once kids become cognizant of their own behavior, they should be taught how to behave around others when out in the world Most people would agree with this in principle, but as can be seen by the behavior by so many kids in stores, libraries, movie theaters and other public places, fewer abide by it.Through humorous illustrations, kids are invited to imagine what it would be like if everyone threw trash on the ground, raced grocery carts through the aisles, and acted in other ways that show disr [...]

This book is a great book to show children what not to do So many children think it s okay to do something just once I think this book really emphasizes on what would happen if everyone did that something just once I did like when the little boy gave him mom a huge and it said, What if everybody did that.

This book is classified as fictional however, the scenario is realistic The books targeted audience is children aged 3 7 years old This is a very humorous story about the impact of ones actions The illustrations humorously depict the somewhat exaggerated consequences of one s actions.

A little boy does small things thinking he s the only one doing them But the adults in his life pose the question, What if everybody did that I think the book has a good lesson there But the end bothers me.

Neither of us was impressed by this one The style would have been suited for a shorter book The repetitiveness went so far as to make it become too predictable So it lost our interest half way through, but we did press on until the end.

I am always thinking about the saying what if everybody did that when I see someone litter, and many other rules Good way to show students what might happen if everyone decided they didn t have to follow the rules.
